Hey sorry I havn't posted anything in a while I have been busy with school and stuff (I am in my final year of High School).

Sorry if this has already been ruled out but . . . .

The other day I was thinking and a thought popped into my head, Kreacher! Now Harry has Kreacher will he use him in some way in his quest to defeat Voldemort?
He has used Kreacher in book 6 so how about book 7? Or will Kreacher just play a small part? Will he die? Will Harry give him away if possible? Maybe to the Weaslys.

It's just a thought.

I don't think he will have a big part in the next book, but who knows?

I don't think Harry will use him, but if anything he would use Dobby and i think Dobby will have a big part in the next book.

i think that kreacher knows too much for harry to give him away. i suppose he would be safe with the weasleys but i think harry will just take kreacher as his own burden. you know how he likes to do stuff on his own.

im not so sure how vital kreacher will be to book 7 though. the only way i can see him being useful is if he knows anything about voldemort and the death eaters. if harry asked the right questions kreacher would have to answer them truthfully. maybe he will give harry some much needed information?

Knowing that Kreacher has to answer to his master (Harry), do you think anyone from the evil side would let him in into much information? He could hang around Bellatrix or Narcissa or Draco, but just as Harry can't risk letting him off because he knows too much, they can't let him know much either, can they?

Yeah but remember when Kreacher went missing in book 5, he was hanging around some Death Eaters so no doubt Kreacher may no something vital. But maybe Harry would use Dobby as a spy if he was ever to use a house elf as a spy.

i think this is quite a good point, and i think if Kreacher is to come into the next book it will be for this reason, for Harry to get information from him.
Dont forget that Kreacher has always been part of the Black family, and if RAB is Regulus Black then it could be possible that Kreacher may have some valuable information about him or the Horcroux.

i think if Dobby comes into the next book much so will Kreacher as i think these two will spend much time together as i think Harry likes the fact that someone is keeping an eye on him.

Good point Bex, Harry could try and get info out off him. But isn't house elves mentto keep the masters and there old masters secerts as sercert! I'm Dobby made a point about he can't tell Harry things about the Mafoys, even thou they are not his masters.
So that could be the same with Kreacher and I think it would be more s with him as he loves his old masters, well not Sirsis, but he hates Harry and would be very unlikly for him to give it to Harry of his own free will!

Yeh good point, i can see where your coming from, but then perhaps its different for Dobby and Kreacher as Harry is Kreachers new master, and surly that means to do as he is told, and tell Harry the truth if Harry was to askt eh right questions. where as Dobby is a free elf and is not bound to Harry.... im not sure i could be wrong.

But Kreacher is already very old, maybe he'll die in the next book? I mean, having to serve first Sirius and then Harry did come as a shock for him. So maybe that weakened him even more ... who knows?

If he doesn't die, I guess Harry'll tell him to help Mrs Weasley at the Burrow. He can be useful there.

i doubt kreacher will have a bigger part then say, parvati.
I dont think a house elf would be very effective against the wizarding worlds best sorcerer

I really like the idea that Kreacher could be useful to Harry in locating the locket and/or RAB (or information pertaining to him). I think it makes much more sense than him actually being involved in a battle. Dobby will surely continue his role as nanny to Kreacher to ensure he isn't trying to hinder Harry's efforts.

My brother had an amazing theory about Kreacher as soon as he had read book 6, and I think i posted it on here then, but I'll add it to this as it is a special Kreacher thread.

This theory assumes the pretty much proven theory that the person who got to the Horcrux first is Regulus.

Dumbledore and Harry showed that the task of retrieving the Horcrux could not be done alone. One person has to drink the poison, yet someone else had to keep feeding it to them once it took effect. Not even a great wizard like Dumbledore could go on drinking it himself, so I very much doubt that Regulus had the strength of mind or character to keep drinking once the poison took effect. That means he must have had someone else with him. The boat could only carry one full-grown wizard. So what if Regulus took Kreacher, and either fed him the poison, or else forced Kreacher to feed it to him. A house-elf would make the absolute perfect companion for a mission like this, as, don't forget, they must do everything their master tells them. Another person is always a risk - it was hard for Harry to go on feeding Dumbledore, but Kreacher wouldn't have any doubts as his master would be commanding him to do it.

This theory just seems to fit in so many ways. My brother won't be around to find out what happens in book 7, so I hope for his sake this is true. It'd be nice to know he got it right!
